Know the risks
Some of the risk factors associated with diabetes are:
Increasing age- Ethnic background i.e. Africans, Caribbeans and Asians are at high risk
- Overweight or obesity
- History of Diabetes in pregnancy (i.e. Gestational diabetes)
- Family history of diabetes
